CALLING ALL YOUNG ASPIRING FEMALE PRODUCERS, COMPOSERS AND DJ'S BASED IN LEEDS!

Did you know that less than 5% of the people creating the sounds, music and media in the daily soundtrack of our lives are women?

Shocking, right?

I'd therefore like to contribute in any way possible to change this statistic by encouraging women of all ages and walks of life to pick up their laptops and start making music! Not only is it a super fun hobby to have, but it is also extremely healthy for our brains. When you listen to music, multiple areas of your brain become engaged and active. But when you actually play an instrument and make music, that activity becomes more like a full-body brain workout!

I recently graduated from Leeds College of Music, achieving first class honours on the BA (Hons) Music Production course. As one of the very few females on the course, I feel hugely inspired to share the valuable knowledge gained from my studies, with other young females who take an interest in all things music production.

So, are you interested in embarking on your musical journey by learning how to write, record and create your own music using softwares such as Ableton Live and Logic Pro? Or perhaps learning how to DJ is your thing... Or maybe you're already a music producer but you'd really like to get to grips with some music theory to enhance your creations?

Knowledge is power; and I'd love to hear from you!
